Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the US. She is the current president as well as the sole owner of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss, a Californian native, grew up with an extremely wealthy life. Jerry Buss, her father was a businessman in the field of real estate and later eventually became the proprietor of Lakers Sports and Entertainment. Her parents parted ways in 1972 which made her feel like she was neglected. As she turned 19 old, she began working for the family's business as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. Then she founded the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. She held the position of President of Great Western Forum prior to being elected vice-president of the Lakers. Buss and her siblings, five brothers and sisters and their father, who owned the Lakers and controlled them up to his death in 2013, inherited this ownership through a trust.
