Nancy Wilson and Maisie Richardson

Nancy Wilson was born 20th February 1937 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Olden Wilson, an ironworker and Lillian Ryan (a former housemaid). Nancy was one of six children. Her father was a musician and would play records in the family. This had a great influence upon her growing up. When she was just four an age, she knew she'd be a singing star. She developed her talent by her involvement in the choir at church. After high school when she started appearing often on Skyline Melodies. She was 15 when won the TV talent show. Around the same time she started working in nightclubs. Nancy dropped out of Central State University in Ohio after matriculating for an entire year. The first album she recorded was in Rusty Bryant's Carolyn Club Big Band in 1956. They performed from 1956 until 1958. As part of the group, Nancy made her first recording in the studio of Dot Records. Cannonball told her she should make the move in New York and go to The Big Town to continue her professional career. She was commissioned to sing in The Blue Morocco Night Club located in The Bronx which was where her agent had seen her. He signed a contract the label Capitol records in 1960, and she made her debut that year, with a single. Guess Who I Stopped Today. Capitol has released five Nancy Wilson albums within two years. At first, she focused on blues and rhythm under Adderley's influence, she began to move away from R&B as she embraced music from jazz and torch. Nancy Wilson, Cannonball Adderley and their 1962 collaboration led her to the top of the charts. The singer had her breakout smash Tell Me the Truth by 1963. It was this performance that helped her land a gig at New York Coconut Grove in 1963, America's most popular nightclub.

Maisie Richardson-Sellers is a British television and film actress. Her most well-known role is the the lead character of Chloe Winthrop in Netflix film The Kissing Booth.
