Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. Her name was chosen by her parents in honor of the town in which she grew as a child. Her father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's father came from the Jewish family Ryder believes she is Jewish. Uria is Ryder's younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are the half siblings of Ryder. Ryder was born in the United States and moved together with her family to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. At the time, there were no electric lights. Ryder would read extensively due to the lack of television. Ryder began to take acting classes in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 at the age of 12. In 1986 she landed her first big-screen role in the film Lucas she was only 15 years old. Ryder was bullied at high school. Her hope was that acting could bring change. But, unfortunately, that didn't take place. Still she continued pursuing her dream. She got her break with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder was later cast in numerous roles that were successful. There were two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
